Put the current meter on the screen and watch every fluctuation

Page 2 of 24 MCP / API open OTA updates

Connects to a current meter over BLE (XR-POWER series and similar) and samples voltage, current, power and accumulated energy in real time, drawing high-refresh curves. Data is transferred as fixed-point with 10⁶ scaling to avoid the accumulated error of floating point on embedded targets — ideal for battery-life estimates and peak/valley analysis on low-power devices.

Every reading is also delivered to the local data recorder and the server history store, so you can review curves on the device or run long-horizon comparisons and reboot forensics on the self-hosted platform.

Highlights

Key capabilities

📊

Three live channels

Voltage/current/power drawn on one screen with auto range scaling and peak/average markers.

🎯

Fixed-point 10⁶ precision

The meter transmits int32 fixed-point; voltage ÷100 and current ÷1000 restore the value with no conversion drift.

📼

Snapshots and recording

Single snapshot or continuous recording; recorded segments land on the SD card or report to the server.

🔁

Self-healing link

Automatically rescans and reconnects after a BLE drop — long burn-in tests need no babysitting.

Use Cases

Typical scenarios

Battery-life measurement

Capture current spikes from WiFi wake-ups and screen-on events to estimate real runtime.

Charging and PMIC debugging

Watch the CV/CC transition point, termination current and efficiency changes with temperature.

Long burn-in tests

Record for days and locate anomalies quickly through server-side history curves.
