AS5600 Encoder
Absolute 0–360°
Page 51 reads the AS5600 angle register (I²C 0x36) for an absolute 0–360° position and derives speed and direction from it.
An absolute encoder needs no homing: wherever the diametric magnet sits at power-up is where the chip says it is.

⚠ Boundaries & notes
- The magnet must be diametrically magnetised, 1–3 mm away and centred, or the reading jumps.
- Strong nearby fields (motor magnets) interfere — keep the distance.
